I just wanted to wish everyone happy holidays! Stay safe and warm, and remember it's about the presents. I mean... your loved ones. Yep.

This is simply a rant about the attitude towards comic books. I feel that many people dismiss it as art and is subjected to amounts of ridicule from groups other those found in Comic Cons and people in video game stores. And I ask them a question, "Why? Why is it less valid than the Mona Lisa or Starry Night?" Now, don't get me wrong- I like those paintings well enough. And there may be those who may scoff at the notion of any of them being as good as these two famous paintings or even better. But why? Why are these paintings better than others? I feel like there's such a generational pressure to like something deemed a classic. I like these

I've been around Deviantart, but I've just joined. I hope to find the goody company of friends and that I don't find any discouraging things around here. Please help me feel welcomed. I hope to see many wonderful things.
